Groups and teams
The roster question is really an access question.
In a cheer program almost everything hangs off which group someone is on. Reef treats that as a permission boundary, not just a label.
Staff can be limited to all athletes or only their assigned groups, and that limit is enforced in the interface and again in the database. A group coach opens attendance to the right list. A program director sees across teams. Neither has to be trusted to self-police.
