Connected management for modern dance studios

Every class, every studio, every family - connected.

Give owners, instructors, staff, and families one place for enrollment, schedules, payments, attendance, forms, communication, and student progress.

Studios and rooms

Two classes cannot share Studio B.

A dance timetable is a room problem before it is a class problem. Studios are organization-defined resources on a 15-minute weekly grid, and Reef shows day and time overlaps and resource double-booking before a save is accepted.

Because a dancer often takes ballet on Monday, jazz on Wednesday, and contemporary on Saturday, classes support multi-day schedules and custom times rather than assuming one weekly slot.

  • Studios and rooms as organization-defined resources
  • Multi-day classes with custom times
  • Conflict review for overlaps and double-booking
  • Weekly, biweekly, and monthly recurrence with variants

Season changes

Build the schedule once. Publish it with confidence.

Rebuilding a timetable in August should not send fourteen separate notifications to every family as you work.

◻ Draft

Stage the change

Move a class, add a level, change an instructor. Edits are held as a draft until you publish, instead of going live on save.

! Review

Review conflicts

Overlaps and room double-bookings show up on a review screen while the change is still yours to fix.

✓ Published

Publish deliberately

Publishing applies the staged plan and sends the announcement, so families and instructors learn about it at the same moment.

Families and billing

One household. One bill. Even with three dancers.

A studio family often has more than one child enrolled, in more than one discipline, with more than one guardian involved. Reef keeps that as one household ledger with access shaped to the real arrangement.

  • Recurring tuition and one-time plans, with proration and billing anchors
  • Family and student discounts, flat or percentage fees, and fee absorption
  • Pay one invoice or all outstanding, by card or ACH, with auto-pay
  • Full-action or strictly view-only guardian seats
  • Child-specific access for a guardian outside the household, without the ledger

Student records that hold the details

A student profile can carry identity, program, level, group or company, instructor, avatar, medical and emergency information, size, notes, and activity tabs - with sensitive visibility depending on permission.

The size field is where studios usually record apparel sizing, so it is on the record when you need it.

Reef stores the size on the student record. It is not a costume store, an inventory system, or an ordering workflow - Reef has none of those.

Progress and attendance

Show families what their dancer is learning.

Programs, levels, and technique requirements are defined by your studio. Instructors record pass-offs with notes and attribution, and that progress reaches the family experience without anyone re-entering it.

  • Your own program and level hierarchy
  • Technique categories, requirements, and pass-off counts
  • Attendance with five statuses, by student, class, or date range
  • Attendance rates on profiles and dashboards
  • Absence reporting with policy-based makeup credits
  • Makeup booking and standby

Bring every role into the same current.
